The fascinating story of one giant bluefin tuna, its species threatened by overfishing, and two Canadian fishermen who have never flown before, together with a marine scientist they befriend on an unlikely journey around the world, from the frigid waters of Nova Scotia to the world-famous Tuskiji Market in Japan at the heart of a lucrative but controversial global sushi industry.

Kelly Lipscomb is an award-winning producer, author, writer-director and owner of Widespread Media, a creative advertising agency and production company he founded in Austin, Texas in 2012. His television credits include work for HBO, Vice Media, Discovery, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures and others. Lipscomb created and executive-produced the limited TV series American Daredevils for History Channel. The first feature film he produced, Homestate, won the 2016 Austin Film Festival Audience Award. His recent commercial ad campaign for Austin-based Nulo Pet Food was named one of the top three commercials of the 2024 Olympics by AdWeek. Bite to Bite is his first feature-length documentary film.
